Abraham Game: Appreciation of something that brings me pure joy, that is easy to love, and I have no resistance with. Something that puts me in the Vortex no matter what! Abraham often gives the example of Esther and her tree house or her grandchildren.
I know for me one of my easy, go to, good feeling, put me in an awesome mood topics is Joshua Tree National Park! I have been there so many times and have had so many mystical, enlightening, and life altering experiences there.
Like the time my husband and I were sitting by our campfire eating some crackers with cheese, but one of the crackers fell in the dirt. We ignored it, but an opportunistic Kangaroo Mouse nearby came out from her hiding spot behind a yucca and tried to carry this ginormous cracker away. We were laughing so hard we were crying as this Kangaroo Mouse did somersaults with this huge cracker that was twice its size, as it attempted time and again to drag it back to its lair. Shockingly, we kept giving it more crackers to watch it do Cirque Du Soleil moves back into the bushes and it kept performing feats of acrobatic might. I truly feel that Source sent us that mouse just for the sheer pleasure and enjoyment! We took pictures, but they were dark and demon eyed, but they are still funny to look at even now.
Or the many times I drove with my bestfriend or my husband along the winding Joshua Tree lined roads while blasting Dave Matthews Band. While singing along we were on top of the world as we watched the most beautiful sunsets over those magnificent rock piles and acres of J-trees.
Or grabbing some snacks and water to walk out from our campsite for a few miles, until we found a remote rock outcropping. We would find the perfect spot to create a nest in the rocks, peel down to our flesh, get a nice suntan, read books, watch the ravens play, and more.
For me it is incredibly peaceful and grounding in Joshua Tree, like I am coming home to myself. After being there for a couple of days I feel filled up to the brim with clarity and knowing. I love the feel of the gritty granite under my fingertips, the silky soft black sand wash under my feet, and my body hopping from one boulder to another. I love climbing way up to the top of an outcropping “Inselberg” and looking out over a sea of desert land filled with so much life. I feel completely free!
