I absolutely love serendipitous moments! They juice me up every time I recognize them. When I run into someone I was just thinking about or I had forgotten I needed to talk to, at just the perfect time. I love when my to do list has on it certain tasks, but I end up on a completely different adventure for the day, and the list gets done anyway in what seem like “magical” ways. Plus they end up getting done so much more easily, effortlessly, and with way more playfulness. I love that I know that they are not just coincidences/”co-ink-e-dinks”, but the Universe delighting me every step of my beautiful life path.
There is a lighthearted game that Abraham encourages that actually allows you to create your own serendipitous moments that I like to call the “Blue Glass Game”. You choose 1-3 things to focus on/activate for more than 68 seconds, specifically something that you have no resistance to. Then you stay open to recognizing those activated things revealing themselves to you in your environment. By playing this game it allows us to softly show ourselves that the Law Of Attraction is indeed in action!
One time I chose to activate/focus on my love of Pink Jasmine. I love the smell of Pink Jasmine and if I didn’t think it would be so uncomfortable, I would want to shove it way up my nose and leave it there all day, it smells so good. I love clipping sprigs of it and putting them on the dashboard of my car or buying hanging baskets of it to put on our patio. I even love the green leaves that they have and the way their tendrils travel up lattices in their desire to grow. I love the pink buds that they make and the bright white of their blooming petals. I love the Jasmine variety I wore in India when I would buy sprigs from street vendors to adorn my hair. I loved sitting out on the patio this last summer and having their delicate smell waft by me when the breeze changed direction. I love that I found a particular perfume oil called Tunisian Jasmine that actually lasts on my skin (instead of disappearing in 5 mins) and people often ask me where they can get some cause it smells so divine.
It was many years ago during the first few months after learning about Abraham at a Wayne Dyer seminar when I first decided to play their game. I spent about 5 minutes writing about what I loved about the glorious plant and how it made me so happy. Later I was driving in my car on a Santa Cruz sunny day as my husband and I were going on an errand to the post office. We ended up driving by the side of a building that was covered from top to bottom with blooming Pink Jasmine and the smell was intoxicating. I was admiring it as I drove past and then pulled into the parking lot for the post office. I was waiting for my husband who was on his motorcycle right behind me, but now he was nowhere to be found. I decided to wait in the car for him to catch up. When he finally showed up I was reading something in my lap and through the window came his hand holding a sprig of the Pink Jasmine right under my nose. I had not told him I was playing the game by the way! He had felt compelled to stop at that huge wall o’ Jasmine and pick a sprig for me. Besides being incredibly romantic, as he usually is, it smelled divine! Several other things happened that were Pink Jasmine related in the following days and this game ended up being a very important step toward the deepening of my trust in the Universe. Now that I have activated the Pink Jasmine mojo again this evening I wonder how the Universe will surprise and delight me with its magic!
“This is what we wish for all of you to understand, the Universe is really really good at orchestrating the path to everything you are asking for. You just have to be in a place of clear view, because you have to receive the impulse.” – Abraham-Hicks
